Founder's Profile & Passion

Meet the Visionary Behind the Movement

Ugonna Amamasi Onyeagoro is the Founder of the Ugonna Onyeagoro Foundation for Women and Girls (UOFWG), an organisation dedicated to empowering women and girls to discover their potential, develop confidence and leadership, and pursue purposeful, impactful lives.

A Senior Biomedical Scientist, educator and mentor, Ugonna has a strong passion for developing people and creating opportunities for women and young girls to thrive. Her professional journey across healthcare, leadership and education has strengthened her belief that access to mentorship, knowledge, practical skills and the right support can significantly change the trajectory of a woman’s life.

Through UOFWG, she seeks to create platforms that provide mentorship, education, skills development, leadership training and community support, particularly for women and girls who may otherwise have limited access to such opportunities.

"Her vision is to raise a generation of confident, resilient and purpose-driven women and girls who are equipped not only to transform their own lives, but also to make meaningful contributions to their families and communities."
